Dread Delusion Overview:

Dread Delusion is an indie a open-world RPG with a setting inspired by floating islands on a world that has been destroyed and fractured. During a journey through this strange world, it is possible to visit some rather gloomy and cryptic locations and make decisions that will change the environment around. What kind of people live in those towns? What happens when you find out a few people know how to control the world’s fate… Liberating the world from an unknown evil or gathering followers to become the most powerful mage.

The ground is suffering from a an evil scourge that has all sorts of effects on the terrains of the world. People have built their boats in an attempt to escape all the harm that is there in the water. You will have to go through rather wacky environments such as the spooky forest of mushrooms or grim crypt of the undead each of them inhabited by odd characters and equally odd challenges.

There is an option of the main quest which gives you a deep narrative or you can wander around the map referred to as ‘get lost mode’. It is parts of towns, where you can rest, sell or buy things, take and complete the quests, and, of course, interact with citizens.

Rather, the opportunities to make choices are in your hands, or even better, on your fingers, in so many ways: councillar, discursional, narrative. Assuming that one is being attacked, instead of fighting the aggressor alone, there is intelligence and charm to deal with any situation. Consequently your choices will affect and create the world and the characters around you.

As you would expect, in Dread Delusion the quest is an epic one which determines the fate of the kingdom. You can even build your character, if you want them to deal with problems in one manner, as in persuasion, lockpicking, or being an arcane wizard. The game has many individualistic characters and creatures, as well as treasures. Smithing and alchemy are also possibilities for improving you equipment, you can turn average tools into superior ones.
