Echostasis Overview:

Echostasis is the thrilling conclusion to the Enigma Trilogy: it drops you into a world where algorithms no longer shape existence—they generate it. This fantastic Sci-fi horror is a first-person shooter with puzzle solving capabilities – delivering an amazing end to the series.

In Echostasis you are the Administrator placed at the Enigma Headquarters and the virus has been inserted into the mainframe. This virus has interfered with the Algorithm that is a supposed to construct Echoes which are representations of the realities of people in the society. Your mission is to study the whereabouts and mentality of three special characters, who have got lost in the Cloud. By typing the words which are in brackets, you will use a terminal to collect the clue and try to understand what has occurred.

By being a Dreamscape Explorer you will get inside the heads of these people and determine their destiny. As every Dreamscape has its time limitation, you have to be wise about it. To go further and further into the minds of the characters, open new ways, look for shortcuts, get new weapons. In order to help these subjects and bring them back to reality they have to face the challenges and the horrors in each Dreamscape.

What’s important is that all the confusion and chaos indicated are surrounded and regulated by the game. This make Echostasis very refreshing because instead of a full on puzzle solving, exploring and battle theme; you get a nice mix of them half baked and in between. Sail through the pathological projections of your subjects and learn of a new link-based keyword system through the terminal.

Enjoy a number of set pieces that are of a caliber that will not be found in other video games to date. On your way, expect to be captivated in a gripping plot which will not only test your ability to decipher it but also consequesively surprise you at every episode. Echostasis is a suspenseful and an entertaining way to end a show that has had you at the edge of your seat.
