Emberward throws you into a roguelite tower defense frenzy! Before each battle, unleash your creativity and build a maze using unique tetromino block cards. Will you design a sprawling labyrinth to extend the monsters’ journey, or prioritize strategic tower placement with your limited wall blocks? The choice is yours!

But the fun doesn’t stop there. After each battle, you can enhance your block cards with various runes. These runes can supercharge your towers, grant your blocks special abilities, or even double their size!

Speaking of towers, Emberward boasts an impressive arsenal. Strategically build towers of various sizes, from compact 1×3 options to sprawling 3×3 behemoths. Unleash the power of Poison Towers that drench enemies with noxious clouds, deploy Drone Towers that relentlessly track and attack foes, or tempt fate with D20 Towers that deal damage based on a lucky roll of the dice (beware the dreaded critical failure!). And that’s just the tip of the iceberg – even more unique towers await discovery!

Before embarking on your adventure, you’ll choose your character and fire source, adding another layer of strategic customization. Each run through Emberward is completely unique, thanks to ever-changing maps, tower compositions, and the mazes you craft. As you progress, you’ll collect new towers, block cards, and powerful relics, making your defenses even stronger. And with each battle you’ll gain experience allowing you to unlock valuable talents that will give you an edge in your next foray into the fray. Emberward injects a thrilling twist into the roguelite tower defense genre, demanding both strategic thinking and a touch of creative flair.  Before each battle commences, you’ll take on the role of a maze architect. Unleash your inner builder and craft a twisting labyrinth using a unique deck of tetromino block cards. Each card represents a different block configuration, and you’ll need to carefully consider your options. Will you prioritize extending the monsters’ journey with a sprawling maze, forcing them to take a longer route to your defenses? Or will you focus on strategic tower placement, using your limited wall blocks to create bottlenecks and kill zones?

The fun doesn’t end after construction. Following each battle, you’ll have the opportunity to enhance your block cards with powerful runes. These mystical runes can be used to supercharge your towers, granting them increased damage, area-of-effect attacks, or even faster firing speeds. You can also imbue your blocks with special abilities, such as the power to slow down enemies or create temporary walls to manipulate enemy pathfinding. And if you’re feeling particularly ambitious, some runes can even double the size of your blocks, allowing you to construct truly imposing defensive structures.
