Farewell North Overview:

Farewell North is another game in which you wake up as a border collie and go through a deeply emotional experience with your human. Jointly, you wander through gorgeous, finely crafted islands – modeled on the Scottish countryside – as you try to restore hues to a world that has grown monochrome. And thus, over the course of the game, you slowly repaint the world, opening up previously inaccessible trails and setting the animals loose, gradually restoring human’s life and light to it, while solving the thrilling and sad story of leaving.

Your current journey of life has moments of pleasure and bonding. Whether you’re tending to the sheep, on the prowl for a tennis ball the ‘in by fetch’ or assisting the farmers in their daily tasks, your actions are small but sources of great joy to your human. Every chore, even if it is as common as sweeping the floor, contributes the improvement of her mood and gradually paints the world with colors.

Throughout the game, you will have to solve incidences that require you to exercise the little creativity you have. Stand by the right views and employ color and new objects are revealed and new ways, the mysteries of the islands that have not been seen before are unveiled. The environment encourages the leisurely approach no matter whether the player sprints through the meadows or climbs the steep rocks, or kayaks towards the chain of the islands based on the Scottish isles.

The history behind Farewell North is one of disappearance and memorial. Going from one character’s memory to another and watching their stories being told through blurry flashbacks, you find out what happened to all the characters and why is color missing from their lives in this archipelago. It is a story that travels through fellowship, companionship and comes to realization that there is nothing as good as having company but unfortunately at some point there is always that time when the company must part.

The gameplay is accompanied by an amazing adaptive orchestral music and singing by Siobhan Miller to make an emotional background for your traveling.
