HumanitZ throws you headfirst into a nightmarish world overrun by the undead. The zombie apocalypse has decimated civilization, leaving behind a desolate landscape crawling with the shambling remains of humanity. As one of the precious few survivors, you hold the fragile hope for the future. In this open-world, isometric co-op survival game, the very act of staying alive becomes a fight to reclaim humanity’s place at the top of the food chain.

The world around you is a harsh and unforgiving teacher. Cities, once bustling centers of life, now lie in ruin, potentially harboring valuable loot but also swarming with ravenous “zeeks.” The wilderness offers a different set of challenges. Here, you can attempt to live off the land, hunting wild game, fishing in rivers, and even planting crops in an effort towards a semblance of normalcy. The dynamic weather system adds another layer of complexity, forcing you to adapt your strategies to survive scorching sun, blinding snowstorms, or anything else nature throws your way.

HumanitZ isn’t a solitary struggle. You can choose to brave this world alone, armed with a trusty rifle and your wits. But for those who prefer the comfort (and firepower) of companionship, the game offers a robust co-operative mode for up to four players. Band together with your friends, scavenging for resources, building fortified havens, and facing the ever-present threat of the undead hordes.

The zeeks themselves are no longer the mindless, slow-moving threats of fiction. Here, you’ll encounter a variety of infected, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Some may be lumbering brutes, while others move with surprising speed and agility. Adaptability and improvisation are key to overcoming these varied threats. HumanitZ even offers a Permadeath Mode for those who crave an ultimate test of survival – one mistake, and it’s all over.
