Enter the world of the epic story which occurs in “Journey to the West”, the hardcore rogue-like deck-building game taking place in the fantastic Realm of Divinity. Conduct your team of heroes, create your own set of powerful cards, and collect relics and consumables as you battle against near invincible monsters. It is mostly your desire to discover the reason for enigmatic darkness hanging over the realm.

Here you will get five legendary heroes that have their abilities, story and they have their own 75 cards deck. Whether you are using Monkey King Bar which unleashes devastating amount of fury from Wukong or using the abilities of Holy Monk which can turn enemies into your allies each hero has its unique gameplay. Starting from the ability to change one’s shape or form to controlling such elements as fire and water– each hero has his unique chip in their squad.

During your adventure, you will acquire more than 20 companions as well as call NPCs to your side creating a team of up to 5 characters. These companions have their own abilities and decks, fight with the player in turn-based combat through the several turns until they get defeated or released. The latter is the NPCs which unlike companions accompany you during the battles and either leave alive or die after the battle. It is also possible to persuade certain NPCs using items, with the examples including the Love Potion or simply Purification Bottle to make the NPCs become your allies or remove evil from them.

But the game is not only about fightings. It is also an experience packed with a narrative based on a theme of Journey to the West. This means that the consumers’ journey is full of different heroes’ storylines over the events and quests depending on the choice made. At some point, you will greet more than a hundred and twenty characters, and each of them has his/her own abilities and history. Your decisions will define the road that you are going to choose, and will bring you to one of the many scenarios – Heaven or Soul Mountains, or the Plane of Eternity.
