Lone Fungus Overview:

My last work is the small indie game Lone Fungus – an open-world platformer existed in the world generated by mushrooms. A recent mushroom survives on his own in the mysterious land of the past where many mysteries are yet to be unveiled. In each level, you don flexible and adapt new skills that assists you to go to other levels or areas and look for special treasures.

As for the campaign it has ten different sections, where environment of each level is totally different and contains its own enemies. Had you searched every corner, you will find meaningful enhancements such as Relics, Emblems and increase in Health and Mindpoints. All of these upgrades shall enhance your character and make him or her a more powerful ally in battling situations.

The game provides a very vast and open, randomly connected world with authentic Metroidvania leveling up system in place. The fighting is fluent with no lags wherein you get to play for the role of a mushroom. There’s skill chain mechanism that allows one to use magic in the manner they wish – depending on how they connect with the enemy with their sword. Doing so will become quite fun and engaging as long as they do not mind a bit of a challenge; the game does offer optional difficulties, and a specific Assist Mode for the less patient.

In battle you may counterattack with anything, even bullets and accurate shots maybe fired back to the foes. Players have the control as to how the parry system will function depending on which Emblems will be worn and are acquired during the course of the game. For instance, some Emblems cause the projectile weapons to target enemies, and some cause an area of effect, damage zone around the player.

Apart from Emblems there are Relics which grant different boons, similar to the Charm system in ‘Hollow Knight’. These Relics can alter how you regenerate health, amplify your sword damage or even add armour. Just like in the first game, 60 different Relics are available and, respectively, you can build your character to prioritize defence, speed, melee combat, and/or magic.
