The Millennia: Ancient Worlds expansion transports you back to the days of creation enabling you to have more seriousness and fun in the early stages of the challenge. This a one brings you from a handful of human characters to the Enlightenment period, teaching you how to make that fledgling society grow into a civilization. First you will enter the game with the Nomadic Band Start. It is not about beginning with a well-defined community that already cares about a certain place and thus making home, but a crew of wanderers on the way. Your objective is ro establish your group return and scavenge for whatever items necessary for the betterment of the group’s conditions until they’re ready to form a real society.

New geographies of threat emerge throughout your journey in this prehistoric terrain: New Threats in the shape of the megafauna are huge prehistoric creatures that inhabit the territory. As a threat that affects your nomadic group, monstrous creatures present the risk factor, which forms part of the events of your story.

The expansion also adds New Terrain to to make the beginning more difficult and Frozen Terrain. The scarcity of resources frowns at resource collection and through the film, as the tundra thaws giving way to the production of lush vegetation and forests, your society relocates to the more resource optimized terrain.

A major part of the expansion is New National Spirit called Messengers that could be obtained during Age II. This spirit is to focus on relations in the early stage of the game; being able to gift other rival countries, take resources from the Minor Nations and ensure they remain independent.
