Norland Overview:

Imagine a kingdom in ruins after the fall of a mighty empire. Now, different families are fighting for control, and you’re right in the thick of it! Norland is a game where you lead one of these noble families, trying to keep your people happy and your enemies at bay.

It’s not just about fighting though. You have a whole family of nobles to manage, each with their own skills and personalities. Some might be great warriors, while others excel at studying ancient texts or negotiating trade deals. You’ll need to figure out how to work together – or maybe even against each other! – to run the kingdom effectively.

But a kingdom isn’t just about nobles. You also have the common people, the peasants who work your land and keep your city running. Keeping them happy is crucial! Make sure they have enough food and beer, and pay them fair wages. If they get angry, they might rebel and cause you a lot of trouble.

The world around you isn’t all sunshine and rainbows either. There are other kingdoms out there, some friendly and some not so friendly. You can choose to trade with them, make alliances, or even go to war! But remember, there are also dangers lurking beyond your borders, like a terrifying horde of enemies. You’ll need a strong army to defend yourself.

Norland is all about making choices. Do you want to be a kind and fair leader who keeps the peace? Or will you become a ruthless warlord, conquering your enemies and ruling with an iron fist? The possibilities are endless!

With different scenarios to choose from and tons of options for your nobles and the world around you, Norland lets you build a unique story. You could be a warmonger with prisoner armies fighting for freedom, a religious leader spreading your faith, a wealthy family hoarding ancient knowledge, or a master spy plotting assassinations and schemes. What kind of story will you write?
