The Riftbreaker Overview:

In The Riftbreaker™ the player assumes the role of Captain Ashley S. Nowak – a true jack of all trades – scientist and commando who needs to survive on an alien planet while piloting a Mecha-Suit. Your task is to go through a dimensional portal to the planet Galatea 37 of the remote section of the Milky Way. Upon arriving, you must construct that base from where you can travel back to Earth and aid in colonization.

Your Mecha-Suit which is named “Mr. Riggs” as your character name is designed for such severe environments and comes with gadgets for construction, resource mining, and combat. It can cross rifts too and that means can connect you even if you are thousands of kilometers away.

In order to finish out your mission, you will have to construct a two-way rift back to Earth. This is nothing that can be accomplished through simple supply and demand and more than basic tools are needed to do it. You have to construct a rather intricate network of mines, refineries, power plants, and research labs to supply energy, and the necessary materials for the rift.

Illuminating the planet, you will draw the attention of aggressive inhabitants of various forms of life on it. If they see you are competitive, they will turn on you and begin targeting your support base. To counter these never tiresome enemies you will have to erect walls, barriers, and towers to shield yourself and your operation.

Flaying in and around Galatea 37 will be an experience in itself. The planet is full of valuable minerals and resources, but the climates and terrains are diverse and unforgiving, and contain flora and fauna that are taken from sci-fi. You need to establish regional offices in areas of the abundant resources so that rift technology can be utilised to collect the materials.

Here it is – the campaign is vast; throughout the campaign, you traverse many biomes, settle in several places, and study extraterrestrial compounds and beings. Waves of alien attackers to be fought, important decisions on priorities and technologies to be made.
