Wartales Overview:

Wartales is an entertaining turn-based RPG in which a you play as the head of a group of mercenaries in a vast medieval world. Taking place in a world where the nations are still recovering from the destruction of the Edoran Empire caused by the plague, the world’s economy is built on mercenary work, banditry, and thievery, and honour is a fading concept.

When you take control of a group of mercenaries, you are not interested in being a hero or creating a heroic myth, but simply a man, trying to survive and prosper in a harsh, violent world. All the choices, be it the wars, that you engage in or the boons that you seek, are evidently motivated by greed and the innate quest for existence.

In your game your team consists of mercenaries, characters that are all different from each other in terms of abilities, specialization, and attitude. Here, you’re going to need to carefully select and cultivate these companions in order to get the best out of them. Choose their abilities and mode of appearance via a basic RPG system, and improve your base by acquiring tools and comforts to sustain your workforce.

The world of this game contains so much to do. Visit wonderful villages with more scenic ravines and rivers; deserted mines; tombs and other treasures of the past. Perform missions and take up quests, and simple ones, like rescuing civilians, or complex ones, like defeating criminals. Nothing is very trivial if it brings profit, not even the job that is given to you to do.

Battles in Wartales will be turn-based, so those players who were captivated by the turn-based mode in the XCOM series will not remain indifferent. Assign right set of characters and equipment according to the battle situations in order to gain effective results.

As for multiplayer mode, players can join parties of up to four people and, with other players, coordinate actions and confrontations with the aggressive residents of the world. Divide profits and consumable items with other crew members; cook food and have a meal together at night around the fire and make sure to get to know and trust the lovely killers you will meet in the game.
