Wild Bastards Overview:

Wild Bastards is the sort of sequel to the awarded *Void Bastards*, where you are going to combine the features of the shooter, tactical game, and roguelike. Taking place in a sci-fi setting of space, the game lets you control the gang of space criminals, as you travel from the planet to another, acquiring new members, gathering resources and stealing from other bands via exciting shootouts.

*Wild Bastards* introduces you to 13 different outlaws in your team, and they are armed and equipped uniquely, develop differently. That’s why you’ll control spaceships, participate in epic battles on various planets, collect the ‘unclaimed’ resources or ‘spoils’, and experience short but extremely active shootouts. While you are performing in the game you’ll be establishing your gang and making important decisions as to which outlaws should be enlisted for the fights, all while experiencing a vast galaxy filled with the antagonists and challenges.

The plot revolves around the Wild Bastards gang that use to be outlaws in the galaxy, but are now trying to survive and get back on their feet. While Jebediah Chaste is hunting for them, the gang members are scarce ending up with only two of the gang. They have side by side, one human and one artificial intelligence, to resurrect their teams that died and evacuated to the legendary Homestead with the sentient spacecraft Drifter.

As for the combat, it is a rather quick and especially turn-based. You have to challenge those enemies who are always aware of their surroundings including when to hide, when to flank their opponents and when to use their special abilities that range from teleportation to poisonous spines. Every meeting is actually a pretty great challenge this time around as you demolish the opponents in tense action-packed gun fights.

There are 13 different outlaws that you will be able to control, which are armed differently, have different personalities and special skills. However, maintaining the gang will not be very easy as required in most of the episodes of the series. Of course there will be conflicts of interest; members of the group may not like each other and you are going to have to intervene in some way or the other to ensure that work gets done. It is about you ensuring everyone stays healthy, raises their level, and to keep the balance between the members of the gang.
