WayForward Technologies who have produced some of the most successful games like *Shantae* & *River City Girls* has worked on Atari’s *Yars Rising*. In this game, you will relive the experience of the explorer and get new colors to one of Atari best creations.

In this game you become Emi Kimura a young hacker who accept a job to penetrate a dubious company QoTech. While playing as Emi you will be able to perform actions such as running, jumping, and sneaking through levels and hacking security systems, and solve puzzles as the game advances. The story is not told in one sitting but as you go through the exploring and solving of the puzzles, more and more details about QoTech comes out.

New abilities are acquired by Emi throughout the game so the player can explore over terrain already visited and travel to locations in the game which were previously inaccessible. These are fun and clever minigames and her growing hacking skill is required to solve them and this is a nod to Atari’s *Yars’ Revenge*.

This is so especially as Emi goes further into the QoTech facilities, making it difficult for her to unravel the mystery. By attaining other hackers she discovers that she is related to a distant alien civilization. For each power she reveals during the show she creates ways of playing that transform her gameplaying abilities.

The game includes such gameplay genres as 2D platformer with elements of a science fiction-themed plot. You will be able to run through corporate offices and through secret labs and even through space. As one peels through the layers the beauty of the story deepens and one finds exciting turns of events and several surprises.

Though, you will not only be able to play out each and every battle in the game. Certain levels will call for elements of surprise thus Emi has to avoid being caught by the security guards and move sneakily within the level. Such moments contribute a touch of the tactics to the game.
